Emily, a newlywed empty nester, hosts a fake wedding reception for her friend Claire with bridesmaid Rachel, designed to generate social media content for Claire’s corporate sponsors. Emily opens her home to the bemusement of her second husband Hank, an entertainment litigator with a guitar and plenty of gummies. Unexpectedly, Hank’s sister Sarah crashes the party, escaping her husband’s financial scandal when Emily’s sons steal her Tesla for their gangsta-leaning TikTok channel. Suddenly, Emily’s got a full house of those fleeing both the law and midlife, each faking success to maintain appearances. Meanwhile, Hank views the household chaos as perfect material for a sitcom and writes their next act.
